how it begins
Getting started with ABA therapy
Starting therapy can feel like a lot, so we've laid out all six steps below. Nothing gets booked until you've met us and you're ready.
What to have ready
- Your child's autism diagnosis report, if you have one
- Your insurance card, if you're using insurance
- A few notes about your child's typical day
- Your questions. All of them.
The steps

Step 1: Reach out
Fill out the short form on this site or call 662-539-7129. We'll ask about your child first, then how you plan to pay.
What helps: Your child's age, whether they have an autism diagnosis, and your insurance plan if you have one.
Step 2: A quick review
We read what you sent and check the basics. If something needs a closer look, someone from our team will call you.
Step 3: A free conversation
You'll meet Anna Claire and Jimbo, tell them about your child, and ask anything you want. Then we decide together whether we're the right fit. This conversation is free.
What helps: Your questions, and anything you've learned from your child's evaluation.
Step 4: Assessment
We spend time with your child to learn what they're good at and what's hard right now. Most insurance plans need to approve the assessment first, and we help with that request.
What helps: Your child's diagnosis report and your insurance card. Some plans also ask for a referral or order for ABA from your child's doctor or psychologist.
Step 5: A plan and a weekly rhythm
Our BCBA writes a plan based on the assessment. Once it's approved, we choose days and times together. They stay the same every week, and each Friday you'll get a reminder of the week ahead.
Step 6: Ongoing care
We keep updating your child's plan as they grow, and we keep you in the loop on what's working.
questions
Does reaching out commit us to anything?
No. The form and the first conversation don't book therapy or commit you to anything.
How long does it take to start?
It depends on insurance approvals and our current schedule. We'll give you an honest estimate when we talk.
Does insurance need to approve ABA first?
Usually, yes. Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Mississippi, for example, requires approval before the initial assessment and before ABA therapy begins. Our team helps with those requests.
What if we don't have a diagnosis yet?
Reach out anyway, and we can talk through where you are in the process. If you're still looking for an evaluation, the Mississippi Department of Mental Health keeps an Autism Resource Guide that lists evaluators around the state.
How can we help our child get ready for the first visit?
Some kids do better when they've seen a place before they go. We took pictures of the cabin and the rooms inside for you to look at together, and you can print them.
Tell us a little about your child, or give us a call. The first conversation is free.
